However, Poppy's existence proves that Malec lives, and the king and queen theorize that the Ascended freed Malec and used him to create Poppy. Nothing between Poppy and Kieran was sexual or amounted to cheating. I didn't necessarily love the book, I thought the first half dragged quite a bit and it was obviously a filler to lead into the next books (including ALITF).
His plan for his brother is really unclear where you are in the books. Right now what we know is that he wants to marry Poppy to protect her from his people and discredit their religion and say “see! I've taken the Maiden away,” in hopes that their house of cards will begin to fall.

In "The Born-Again Identity", it is revealed that Castiel survived. After the Leviathans left him, he made his way out of the river, naked, and ran into his future wife Daphne.
So at the ending of the previous book, we found out that Hawke isn't just Hawke, but is actually Casteel Da'Neer, the Prince of Atlantia, also known as the Dark One.

The already awkward trip — which takes place in Croatia in the novel — takes a turn when Poppy thinks she might be pregnant, leading Alex to console her and go with her to find a test. The nerves of the situation — which ultimately sees Poppy learn she is not pregnant — prompts an emotional hug between them.
When he/she fell in love and that love betrayed him/her, that love shattered Kieran's heart both literally and figuratively, cursing Kieran to become the Winged Beast every night fall. According to Longclaw, the curse took away his/her ability to feel, and all that's left at the moment is anger and sorrow.

They're almost like family, which includes Lisa's son Ben, due to Dean's relationship with the two. Dean deeply cares for Lisa and Ben and would hate to see them hurt. On multiple occasions, Dean has shown that - of all the women he has been with - he truly loves Lisa.
Claire Novak is the daughter of Jimmy Novak, Castiel's vessel. Jimmy offers himself over to Castiel after his wife Amelia threatens to take Claire to her mother's if he does not get help. After Jimmy says "yes" to Castiel, Claire comes outside and says "Daddy?" Castiel replies "I am not your father" to her and leaves.
Some sources attest that Dean's last known words, uttered just before impact after Wütherich told Dean to decelerate as the Ford Tudor pulled into their lane, as: "That guy's gotta stop ... He'll see us." Lee Raskin believes that any reports that Dean and Wütherich spoke just prior to the crash are pure conjecture.

Leopold was a protective, compassionate, and wise father figure—someone whose influence shaped Poppy into the strong and resilient person she became. His personality was gentle but firm, and his loyalty and courage made him a quietly heroic figure.
We know for sure that Casteel is a descendant of Attes. Our current theory…that Attes's soul is actually in Casteel or Casteel is Attes reborn. We believe he made a deal with the Fates to allow his soul to be reborn so he could be with Sotoria in the future.
