Despite their similar names and costumes, Deadpool and Gwenpool are not biologically related. However, they are united by the shared knowledge that they are fictional characters within a comic book. Gwenpool began life as Gwendolyn Poole, a comic book fan in the real world who was sucked into the Marvel Universe.
